Side Crash Sensor

The side air bag crash sensors (side crash sensors) are located on floor under outboard side of left and right front seats. The side crash sensor monitors the severity of a lateral crash event. If the crash event is severe enough, the side crash sensor signals Restraints Control Module (RCM) to deploy the appropriate side air bag module.
