Removal & Installation (RH)

CAUTION:
When removing the coil-on-plugs, a slight twisting motion will break the seal and ease removal.
Remove upper intake manifold. See INTAKE MANIFOLD . Remove 3 right-side coil-on-plugs. Disconnect EGR, heated oxygen sensor (HO2S) and ignition interference capacitor electrical connectors. Disconnect wire harness from rear valve cover stud, and set aside. Remove wiring harness nut. Disconnect crankcase ventilation hose. Remove 10 bolts, valve cover and gasket. To install, reverse removal procedure. Clean gasket mating surfaces before installing NEW gasket. Install and tighten bolt in sequence to specification. See Figure and Fig 1 .
