Oil Pump: Removal

  1. Remove oil pan. See OIL PAN  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Remove front cover. See FRONT COVER  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Remove timing chain and crankshaft sprocket. See TIMING CHAINS  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION.
  2. Remove oil pump retaining bolts in sequence. See Fig 1. Remove oil pump from cylinder block.
