Removal And Installation

  1. Remove the side shield. For additional information, refer to Seat Backrest - Front, Bucket and 40 Percent  in this article.
  2. Remove the seat track. For additional information refer to Seat Track - Bucket and 40 Percent  in this article.
  3. Disconnect the electrical connectors and remove the wire harness.

  4. Remove the 2 lumbar actuator screws.

  5. Unclip the lumbar control cable from actuator.

  6. Remove the 2 bolts and remove the front seat adjuster.
    • To install, tighten to 50 Nm (37 lb-ft).

  7. CAUTION: Do not damage the plastic pivot bushing when removing the seat backrest.

  8. Pull the front seat backrest away from the seat hinge and feed the lumbar cable and heating element wire through the seat cushion opening. Separate the seat cushion from the seat backrest.
  9. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
