Removal And Installation

  1. Remove the rear speaker. For additional information refer to INFORMATION AND ENTERTAINMENT SYSTEMS article.
  2. Position the watershield aside.
  3. Remove 3 upper rear door latch screws.
    • To install, tighten to 12 Nm (9 lb-ft).
  4. Remove 3 lower rear door latch screws.
    • To install, tighten to 12 Nm (9 lb-ft).
    5. CAUTION: When drilling out the latch remote control rivets, do not oversize the holes in the door sheet metal. Make sure not to exceed a 6.35 mm (0.25 in) drill bit.
  5. Remove the rear door latch remote control.
    • Disconnect the actuating rods.
    • Remove the rivets.
  6. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
