Throttle Body - Spacer: Removal

WARNING: Do not smoke or carry lighted tobacco or open flame of any type when working on or near any fuel-related components. Highly flammable mixtures are always present and can be ignited. Failure to follow these instructions may result in personal injury.
  1. Disconnect the battery ground cable. For additional information, refer to BATTERY, MOUNTING AND CABLES article.
  2. Remove the throttle body (TB). For additional information, refer to Throttle Body  in this article.
  3. Disconnect the main vacuum harness from the TB spacer.
  4. Disconnect the positive crankcase ventilation (PCV) tube quick connect coupling from the TB spacer. For additional information, refer to FUEL SYSTEM - GENERAL INFORMATION - GASOLINE AND DIESEL article.
  5. Disconnect the evaporative emissions (EVAP) canister purge valve vacuum tube quick connect coupling from the TB spacer. For additional information, refer to FUEL SYSTEM - GENERAL INFORMATION - GASOLINE AND DIESEL article.
  6. Disconnect the brake booster vacuum hose.
  7. Remove the 2 PCV heated element screws.
  8. Remove the PCV heated element.
  9. Remove the 2 upper TB spacer bolts.
  10. Remove the 4 lower TB spacer bolts, the TB and discard the TB spacer gasket.
