Transmission Fluid Cooler Tubes: Installation

  1. Install the fluid cooler tube(s).
    • Tighten to 27 Nm (20 lb-ft).

  3. Connect the fluid cooler tubes to the bracket.
  4. Install the fluid cooler tubes to the retainer.
  5. Connect the fluid cooler tubes to the radiator and the auxiliary fluid cooler if equipped.
  6. Install the secondary latches onto the cooler tubes.
  7. Position the air deflector and install the fasteners.

  9. Position the skid plate and install the bolts (4WD vehicles).
    • Tighten to 15 Nm (11 lb-ft).

  10. Fill the transmission with clean automatic transmission fluid specified for this transmission.
  11. Check for leaks.
