Removal And Installation

  1. Remove the wheel and tire. For additional information, refer to WHEELS AND TIRES article.
  2. NOTE: The harness connector is located in the engine compartment secured to the fender apron.
  3. Disconnect the wheel speed sensor electrical connector.
  4. Disconnect the 2 wheel speed sensor harness retainers from the brake hose.
  5. Remove the wheel speed sensor harness from the pushpin retainer.
  6. CAUTION: Do not allow the brake caliper and anchor plate assembly to hang from the brake hose or damage to the hose can occur.
  7. Remove the 2 brake caliper anchor plate bolts and position the brake caliper and anchor plate assembly aside.
    • Support the brake caliper anchor plate assembly using mechanic's wire.
    • To install, tighten to 112 Nm (83 lb-ft).
  8. NOTE: Index-mark the brake disc and wheel hub flange before removing the brake disc.
  9. Remove the brake disc.
  10. Remove the bolt and the wheel speed sensor.
    • To install, tighten to 8 Nm (71 lb-in).
  11. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
    • Apply brakes several times to verify correct brake operation.
