Removal & Installation - Front Cable

  1. Remove parking brake control. See REMOVAL & INSTALLATION - CONTROL .
  2. Raise and support vehicle.
  3. Pull tab on underside of parking brake control handle and slide handle up. See Fig 1.
  4. Disconnect the rear parking brake cables. Remove the equalizer. Fig 2.
  5. Snap the front cable grommet out of the floor and remove the cable. See Fig 3.
  6. Tie mechanics wire to the old cable and conduit to make installation of new cable easier. See Fig 4.
  7. Using a 13 mm box-end wrench, depress the conduit retaining prongs and remove the parking brake cable and conduit. See Fig 5.
  8. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
