Power sliding rear window

- Remove the 2 screws from the LH and RH transition blocks.
- Remove the LH cable first, then the RH side cable. Press and hold the transition block away from the centerline of the vehicle.
- Clamp and hold the cable near the transition block.
- Gently pull up the end of the transition block and lift it out of the groove. Do not release the clamp.
- Slowly release the clamp on the cable to gradually unload the tensioning spring on the motor housing.
- Remove the cable swag from the guide bracket on the sliding rear window.
CAUTION:
The following substeps are to prevent the cables from popping out of the motor housing. If an existing regulator and motor assembly is to be reused, do not allow the cables to pop out of the motor housing, as they can unwind from the drum. If the cables unwind from the drum, a new regulator and motor assembly will have to be installed.
