Exhaust Manifold - LH: Installation

Inspect the LH exhaust manifold gasket mating surfaces for flatness. For additional information, refer to ENGINE SYSTEM - GENERAL INFORMATION article.

NOTE: Make sure the 2 long studs are installed in the locations noted during removal.

Install 6 new LH exhaust manifold studs.
- Tighten to 12 Nm (9 lb-ft).
Position a new LH exhaust manifold gasket and the LH exhaust manifold and install 6 new nuts.
- Tighten the nuts in the sequence shown to 25 Nm (18 lb-ft).

Position the engine lifting eye and install the nuts.
- Tighten to 25 Nm (18 lb-ft).
Attach the dual converter Y-pipe and install the 2 nuts.
- Tighten to 40 Nm (30 lb-ft).
Connect the HO2S electrical connector.

NOTE: Install a new O-ring seal on the oil level indicator tube. Lubricate the O-ring seal with clean engine oil.

Position the oil level indicator and tube and install the bolt.
- Tighten to 10 Nm (89 lb-in).
