Normal Operation

In normal operation, voltage from the battery is supplied to the starter through circuit 2037 (RD). When the ignition switch is placed in the START position, voltage is supplied through starter relay circuit 113 (YE/LB) to the starter.
When the starter relay is energized, the starter solenoid will engage the starter drive into the ring gear and close the solenoid contacts allowing the starter motor to start the engine. The solenoid is grounded at the starter motor.
Possible Causes
- Battery
- An open in circuit 2037 (RD) or 113 (YE/LB)
- Starter motor relay
- Starter
