Crankshaft Rear Seal: Removal

  1. Remove the transmission. For additional information, refer to AUTOMATIC TRANSAXLE/TRANSMISSION - 4R70E/4R75E article.
  2. Remove the 6 flexplate bolts and the flexplate.
  3. Remove the engine rear cover plate.
  4. Using the special tools, remove and discard the crankshaft oil slinger.

  5. Using the special tools, remove and discard the crankshaft rear seal.
