Crankshaft Rear Seal: Installation

    NOTE: Lubricate the crankshaft rear seal with clean engine oil prior to installation.
  1. Using the special tools, install a new crankshaft rear seal.

    NOTE: Lubricate the crankshaft oil slinger with clean engine oil prior to installation.
  3. Using the special tools, install a new crankshaft oil slinger.

  5. Install the engine rear cover plate.
  6. Install the flexplate and the 6 bolts. Tighten the bolts in 2 stages in the sequence shown.
    • Stage 1: Tighten to 20 Nm (15 lb-ft).
    • Stage 2: Tighten to 80 Nm (59 lb-ft).
