Test Procedure

  1. AM1 DTC P1464: CHECK THE A/C CLUTCH SWITCH (ACCS) PID 
    NOTE: Verify the A/C and defrost were off during the self-test. If the A/C or defrost were on, turn them off and repeat the self-test.
    • Key ON, engine OFF.
    • A/C and defrost OFF.
    • Access the PCM and monitor the ACCS PID.
    • Is the ACCS PID ON? 
    Yes No
    The ACCS input to the PCM is requesting A/C. REFER to appropriate CLIMATE CONTROL SYSTEM article. The ACCS PID indicates that the ACCS input to the PCM is OFF. VERIFY the self-test results. REPEAT the self-test with the A/C and defrost off.
