Test Procedure

  1. AL1 PRELIMINARY DIAGNOSIS FOR DTC P1705 
    • Carry out a visual inspection.
    • Retrieve and record all DTCs.
    • Clear the DTCs.
    • Carry out the KOEO and KOER self-test.
    • Is DTC P1705 present? 
    Yes No
    REFER to appropriate AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION article. UNABLE to duplicate the condition. CHECK for a loose connection, and damaged or corroded terminals. WIGGLE the harness attempting to recreate the concern. REPAIR as necessary. REFER to the SYMPTOM CHARTS article, Symptom Charts, if a driveability concern exists.
