Removal and Installation

- With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. For additional information, refer to JACKING & LIFTING .
- Drain the cooling system. For additional information, refer to COOLING SYSTEM DRAINING, FILLING AND BLEEDING .
- Remove the air cleaner outlet pipe. For additional information, refer to INTAKE AIR DISTRIBUTION & FILTERING - 3.0L (4V) .
- Disconnect the upper radiator hose from the thermostat housing and position aside.
- Disconnect the lower radiator hose from the thermostat housing and position aside.
- Disconnect the heater hose from the thermostat housing and position aside.
- Reposition the 2 thermostat housing-to-engine hose clamps.
- Remove the thermostat housing.
- To install, reverse the removal procedure.
