Removal and Installation

- Remove the steering wheel. For additional information, see STEERING WHEEL .
- Remove the instrument panel cluster finish panel. For additional information, see INSTRUMENT PANEL - CLUSTER FINISH PANEL .
- Remove the upper and lower steering column shrouds.
- Remove the screws.
- Remove the upper and lower steering column shrouds.
- Depress the three clips and position the air bag sliding contact aside.
- Remove the multifunction switch.
- Disconnect the electrical connector.
- Remove the multifunction switch.
- To install, reverse the removal procedure.
CAUTION:
Apply two strips of masking tape across the air bag sliding contact to prevent rotation.
