Removal and Installation

- Relieve the parking brake cable tension. For additional information, refer to PARKING BRAKE CABLE TENSION RELEASE .
- Remove the 3 parking brake cable bracket bolts from the subframe.
- To install, tighten to 12 N.m (9 lb-ft).
- Disconnect the intermediate cable from the front cable at the cable-to-cable union.
- Release the intermediate cable from the body bracket.
- Release the intermediate cable from the rear RH cable at the cable-to-cable union.
- Release the LH rear cable from the intermediate cable at the conduit equalizer.
- Remove the wireform bracket bolt on top of the subframe and remove the intermediate parking brake cable.
- To install, tighten to 18 N.m (13 lb-ft).
- Remove the wireform bracket bolt on top of the subframe and remove the intermediate parking brake cable.
- To install, tighten to 18 N.m (13 lb-ft).
