Removal and Installation

All vehicles
- Raise and support the vehicle. For additional information, see JACKING & HOISTING .
- Remove the screw, pushpin and the shield.
- Remove the screws and the air deflector.
- Remove the bolt.
- Remove the bolt, bracket and bushings.
- Remove the bolt.
- Unclip the retainer.
- Pull the hose rearward between the oil pan and the radiator support crossmember.
3.0L engine
- Remove the bolt and the bracket.
- Disconnect the hose (3A719) at the pump.
3.9L engine
- Remove the bolt and the bracket.
- Disconnect the hose (3A719) at the pump.
- Drain the fluid into a suitable container.
All vehicles
- Remove the bolt.
- Disconnect the wiring at the pressure switch (3N824).
- Remove the pressure switch.
- Drain the fluid into a suitable container.
- Disconnect the hose at the steering gear.
- Unclip the retainer and detach the hose.
- Remove the hose.
- To install, reverse the removal procedure.
- Install a new seal using the special tool.
