Heater Hose - Assembly: Installation

  1. Install heater hose assembly.
  2. Install the hydraulic cooling fan reservoir.

  3. Install the PCM wiring harness bracket.

  4. NOTE: If the hose assembly has been separated, install the bracket removed using a new rivet.

  5. Install the bracket using a new rivet.
  6. Install the rear heater hose mounting bolt.

  7. NOTE: If the hose assembly has been separated, a new bracket must be installed.

  8. Install the forward heater hose mounting bolt.
  9. Connect the coolant recovery line.

  10. Install the couplings.
    • Make sure that the heater hoses are installed in the correct position. For additional information, see HEATING AND DEFROSTING  .
    • Lubricate the coolant hoses with MERPOL(R) meeting Ford specification ESE-M99B144-B or plain water only, if needed.

  11. Install the heater hoses at the heater core.
    • Make sure that the heater hoses are installed in the correct position. For additional information, see HEATING AND DEFROSTING  .
    • Lubricate the coolant hoses with MERPOL(R) meeting Ford specification ESE-M99B144-B or plain water only, if needed.
    • Check for correct hose installation by verifying DATC system operation.

  12. Install the cabin air intake plenum.
  13. Install the cabin air filter.
  14. Install the RH cowl cover.
  15. Install the throttle body intake tube.
  16. Fill the cooling system.
