Removal and Installation

- If equipped, remove the overhead console.
- Release the locking tabs while pulling down.
- Remove the left and right screws and visors.
- If equipped, disconnect the electrical connector.
- Position the left and right front door opening weatherstrips down from the headliner.
- Remove the left and right A-pillar trim panel. For additional information, refer to A-PILLAR TRIM PANEL in this section.
- Remove the courtesy lamp lens, then remove the screws.
- Remove the left and right rear door striker covers at the roof trim panel.
- If equipped, remove the safety belt shoulder height adjuster cover pin-type retainers.
- If equipped, remove the safety belt shoulder height adjusters.
- Position the safety belt shoulder height adjuster cover down.
- Remove the bolt.
- Remove the safety belt shoulder height adjuster.
- Remove the 2 headliner rear pin-type retainers.
- Remove both of the left and right safety belt guides.
- Position the shoulder safety belt guide cover up.
- Remove the shoulder safety belt guide nut.
- To install, tighten to 40 Nm (30 lb-ft).
- Remove the shoulder safety belt guide.
- Remove the left and right coat hooks.
- Remove the assist handle.
- Remove the covers and bolts.
- Remove the assist handle.
- Position aside the B-pillar trim panels.
- Remove the 2 headliner front pin-type retainers.
- Remove the headliner.
- To install, reverse the removal procedure.
