Removal and Installation

- Remove the scuff plate.
- Remove the shoulder safety belt guide.
- Position the shoulder safety belt guide cover up.
- Use the Seat Belt Bolt Bit to remove the bolt.
- To install, tighten to 40 Nm (30 lb-ft).
- Remove the shoulder safety belt guide.
- Pull the rear door opening weatherstrips away from the C-pillar trim panel.
- If equipped, remove the utility trays and jack assembly.
- Remove the safety belt anchor.
- Use the Seat Belt Bolt Bit to remove the bolt.
- To install, tighten to 40 Nm (30 lb-ft).
- Remove the safety belt anchor.
- Use the Seat Belt Bolt Bit to remove the bolt.
- Remove the C-pillar trim panel.
- Route the safety belt and the shoulder safety belt guide through the C-pillar trim panel openings.
- Remove the C-pillar trim panel from the vehicle.
- To install, reverse the removal procedure.
NOTE:
Inspect the shoulder safety belt guide and cover for damage. If the shoulder safety belt guide or cover is damaged or the cover does not remain closed, install a new shoulder safety belt guide.
