Removal and Installation

  1. Remove the scuff plate.

  2. Position front seat(s) forward.
  3. Pull the door opening weatherstrips away from the B-pillar trim panel.

  4. NOTE: Inspect the shoulder safety belt guide and cover for damage. If the shoulder safety belt guide or cover is damaged or the cover does not remain closed, install a new shoulder safety belt guide.
  5. Remove the shoulder safety belt guide.
    1. Position the shoulder safety belt guide cover up.
    2. Remove the shoulder safety belt guide bolt.
    3. Remove the shoulder safety belt guide.
      • To install, tighten to 40 Nm (30 lb-ft).

  6. Remove the safety belt anchor bolt.
    • To install, tighten to 40 Nm (30 lb-ft).

  7. Remove the B-pillar trim panel.

  8. Route the front safety belt and the shoulder belt guide through the B-pillar trim panel.
  9. Remove the B-pillar trim panel from the vehicle.
  10. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
