Removal and Installation

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2002 Lincoln LS. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
    CAUTION: Do not make electrical connections prior to filling the windshield washer reservoir. Do not operate the windshield washer pump prior to filling the windshield washer reservoir.
  1. Disconnect the battery ground cable.
  2. Remove the RF wheel and tire assembly.
  3. Position RF fender splash shield aside.
    1. Remove the screws.
    2. Remove the pin-type retainers.
    3. Position the RF splash shield aside.

  4. NOTE: Windshield washer fluid should be collected in a container after the windshield washer hose is disconnected.

  5. Disconnect the washer hose.
  6. Remove the washer fluid reservoir.
    1. Disconnect the two electrical connectors.
    2. Remove the bolts.
    3. Remove the washer reservoir.

  7. If necessary remove the windshield washer pump and if equipped remove the headlamp washer pump.

  8. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
