Removal And Installation: Flywheel: Removal

  1. Prepare the vehicle for flywheel removal.
    1. Remove the transmission. For additional information, refer to MANUAL TRANSAXLE/TRANSMISSION - ZF 6-SPEED .
    2. Remove the clutch pressure plate and disc. For additional information, refer to CLUTCH DISC AND PRESSURE PLATE .
  2. Remove the flywheel.
    1. Remove the bolts. Install the guide studs.
    2. Remove the bolts.
    3. Remove the reinforcing ring (6.0L) and the flywheel and ring gear assembly.
    4. Remove the guide studs.
