Removal and Installation

- Remove the brake pads. For additional information, refer to BRAKE PADS .
- Remove and discard the 2 brake caliper anchor plate bolts.
- To install (F-250, F-350), tighten to 225 Nm (166 lb-ft).
- To install (F-450, F-550), tighten to 400 Nm (295 lb-ft).
- Inspect the brake caliper anchor plate assembly.
- Check the guide pin boots for damage.
- Check the guide pins for binding and damage.
- If pins are worn or damaged, install new pins. Lubricate the pins with silicone grease.
- To install, reverse the removal procedure.
