Normal Operation

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2006 Mercury Mariner and 2006 Ford Escape. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

The rear wiper motor is controlled by the SJB. The SJB supplies power to the rear wiper motor through circuit 411 (BK/LB) from the integrated rear wiper relay and through circuit 406 (BN/WH) from the SJB fuse 21 (10A). The multi-function switch applies ground to circuit 485 (PK/BK) for low speed wipe, or applies ground to circuit 410 (WH/OG) for intermittent wipe. The multi-function switch and the rear wiper motor is grounded through circuit 57 (BK).
