Inspection and Verification

NOTE:
When installing a new smart junction box (SJB), it must be reconfigured for this feature, if originally equipped. Refer to MODULE CONFIGURATION

- Verify the customer concern by operating the DRL using the following steps:
- Place the ignition switch in the RUN position.
- Place the headlamp switch in the OFF position.
- Fully apply the brake.
- Release the parking brake.
- If the DRL does not operate, make sure the SJB is configured for DRL before proceeding to the next step.
- Verify the brake warning indicator operation.
- Apply and release the parking brake while observing the brake warning indicator.
- If the brake warning indicator does not operate correctly, refer to INSTRUMENT CLUSTER .
- If the brake warning indicator operates correctly, go to the next step.
- Apply and release the parking brake while observing the brake warning indicator.
- Verify the low beam operation.
- Place the headlamp switch in the HEADLAMPS ON position.
- Place the multifunction switch in the LOW BEAM position.
- If the low beams operate correctly and the DRL operation is incorrect, install a new SJB. Refer to SMART JUNCTION BOX (SJB) . Test the system for normal operation.
- If the low beams do not operate correctly, refer to HEADLAMPS .
