Removal and Installation

  1. Disconnect the battery ground cable. For additional information, refer to BATTERY, MOUNTING AND CABLES .
  2. Disconnect the accelerator pedal electrical connector.
  3. Remove the 3 bolts and release the accelerator pedal from the locating/retaining tabs on the lower RH corner of the accelerator pedal mounting bracket.
    • To install, tighten to 9 Nm (80 lb-in).
  4. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
    • Verify that the accelerator pedal and sensor assembly is engaged in the locating/retaining tabs of the accelerator pedal mounting bracket prior to installing the bolts.
