Differential Seals - RH: Removal

  1. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. For additional information, refer to JACKING & LIFTING .
  2. Remove the transaxle drain plug and drain the transmission fluid.

  3. Remove the RH halfshaft and intermediate shaft. For additional information, refer to REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
  4. If equipped, remove the power transfer unit (PTU). For additional information, refer to POWER TRANSFER UNIT (PTU) -- AUTOMATIC TRANSAXLE .
  5. If the vehicle is equipped with a PTU, use the special tools to remove the RH differential seal.

  6. If the vehicle is not equipped with a PTU, use the special tools to remove the RH differential seal.
