Turbine Shaft Speed (TSS) Sensor

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2006 Mercury Mariner and 2006 Ford Escape. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

The turbine shaft speed (TSS) sensor is a magnetic pickup that sends a signal to the PCM that indicates turbine shaft input speed. The TSS sensor provides converter turbine shaft speed information for TCC control strategy. Also used in determining static EPC pressure setting during shifts.
