Removal and Installation

- With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. For additional information, refer to JACKING & LIFTING .
- Remove the rear quarter trim panel. For additional information, refer to INTERIOR TRIM AND ORNAMENTATION .
- Remove the upper shock absorber nuts, washer and bushing.
- To install, tighten to 18 Nm (13 lb-ft).
- Remove the lower shock absorber nut, washer and bolt.
- To install, tighten to 175 Nm (129 lb-ft).
- Remove the shock absorber and the bushing.
- To install, reverse the removal procedure.
