Window Glass - Rear: Removal

WARNING:
To prevent glass splinters from entering eyes or cutting hands, wear safety glasses and heavy gloves when cutting glass from the vehicle. Failure to follow these instructions may result in personal injury.
- Remove the package tray trim panel. For additional information, refer to INTERIOR TRIM AND ORNAMENTATION .
- Disconnect the rear window glass electrical connectors.
- Using a soft brush or vacuum, clean any dirt or foreign material from the pinch weld.
- Using the special tool, starting at the top center of the rear window glass, cut the urethane adhesive from the glass and work down the sides.
- Using the special tool, distance the rear window glass from the body.
- Using the special tool, cut the remaining adhesive and remove the rear window glass
CAUTION:
Care must be taken to prevent scratching the pinch weld.
NOTE:
Lubricate the existing urethane adhesive with water using a spray bottle to aid the special tool while cutting.
