Information and Entertainment System: Antenna

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2006 Mercury Grand Marquis and 2006 Ford Crown Victoria. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
NOTE: The antenna cable is not removable from the wiring harness. If the antenna cable needs to be replaced, cut the ends and leave the cable in the wiring harness. Route the new cable on top of the body main wiring harness and secure it with wire ties. Do not cut into the wiring harness to remove the existing antenna cable.

The antenna system consists of the following components:

The front antenna cable is connected to the audio unit and has an in-line connector (located at the right end of the instrument panel below the glove compartment) to the rear antenna cable. The antenna cable runs along the rocker panel within the body main wiring harness, and runs into the luggage compartment to the antenna base bracket that connects to the antenna base.
