DTC P0A23: Generator Torque Sensor Circuit Range/Performance

P0A23 - GENERATOR TORQUE SENSOR CIRCUIT RANGE/PERFORMANCE

Description:  The PCM checks the amount of the generator motor torque delivered, by monitoring the frequency of the torque of generator AC (TGAC) signal. This DTC indicates that the TGAC signal is out of expected range.
Possible Causes: 
  • TGAC circuit open.
  • TGAC circuit shorted to PWR or GND.
  • Damaged transaxle.
  • Damaged PCM.
  • Damaged TCM.
Diagnostic Aids:  Read the PCM GTQ_CMD PID. The PID value should be 0 Nm (0 lb ft) in PARK or NEUTRAL if the brake pedal is not applied.
Application  Key On Engine Off  Key On Engine Running  Continuous Memory 
All GO to Pinpoint Test TC .
