Removal & Installation (3.9L)

- Remove the generator. Disconnect the hose and allow to drain. See Figure. Disconnect the electrical connector and turn the actuator assembly clockwise to gain access to the high pressure line. See Figure. Remove the bolt and the high pressure line bracket. See Figure.
- Break loose the line fitting using a 20 mm short wrench. After the line is loose, use a 20 mm crow's foot to remove the remaining line fitting. Disconnect the high pressure line. See Figure. Remove the bolts and the cooling fan pump. See Fig 1.
- To install, reverse the removal procedure. Using the appropriate special tool, install a new "O" ring on the hydraulic cooling fan pressure hose fitting. See Figure. Fill and bleed hydraulic system. See HYDRAULIC COOLING FAN SYSTEM FILLING & BLEEDING .
