The luggage compartment lid remote switch supplies a ground signal to the front electronic module (FEM). When the FEM receives ground through circuit 8-AA30 (WH), the FEM sends a standard corporate protocol (SCP) message to the rear electronic module (REM), which energizes circuit 29S-AA83 (OG) and releases the luggage compartment lid. When the driver door module (DDM) receives the signal to open the luggage compartment lid from the remote keyless entry (RKE) transmitter, the DDM sends an SCP message to the REM, which energizes circuit 29S-AA83 (OG) and releases the luggage compartment lid.
