Front Door Window Glass: Removal

NOTE:
The front window motors must be initialized whenever the following occurs: the motor is removed from the window regulator, a new motor is installed, a new window regulator is installed, a new window glass is installed, a glass top run removal and installation has been carried out or when carrying out any operation in which grease or lubricants are applied to the window system. A new front window motor is in a proportional up/down mode until initialized. For additional information, Refer to DOOR WINDOW MOTOR INITIALIZATION in this article.
- Remove the front door trim panel. For additional information, refer to INTERIOR TRIM AND ORNAMENTATION .
- Remove the watershield.
- Remove the interior weatherstrip.
- Connect the window control switch electrical connector.
- Connect the battery. For additional information, refer to BATTERY, MOUNTING AND CABLES .
- Using the window control switch, position the front door window regulator-to-glass clamp bolts to align with the access holes.
- Loosen the 2 front door window regulator-to-glass clamp bolts, allowing the window glass to move from the clamp.
- Hold the glass in place, lower the front door window regulator to the full down position, and remove the front door window glass.
