FOG LAMPS SYMPTOM

Condition Possible Sources Action
  • No communication with the front electronic module (FEM)
  • Circuitry.
  • FEM.
  • No communication with the instrument cluster module
  • Circuitry.
  • Instrument cluster.
  • The fog lamps are inoperative
  • Fog lamp relay.
  • Circuitry.
  • Headlamp switch.
  • Instrument cluster.
  • Front electronic module (FEM).
  • The individual fog lamp is inoperative
  • Circuitry.
  • MEASURE the resistance between LH fog lamp 152-1, circuit 31-LD11 (BK/WH), harness side and ground; or between RH fog lamp 162-2, circuit 31-LD17 (BK/WH), harness side and ground.
    • If the resistance is less than 5 ohms, REPAIR circuit 30S-LD11 (RD/WH) (LH fog lamp) or 30S-LD17 (RD/WH) (RH fog lamp) as necessary. TEST the system for Normal operation.
    • If the resistance is Not less than 5 ohms, REPAIR circuit 31-LD11 (BK/WH) (LH fog lamp) or 31-LD17 (BK/WH) (RH fog lamp) as necessary. TEST the system for Normal operation
  • The fog lamps are ON continuously
  • Fog lamp relay.
  • Circuitry.
  • Headlamp switch.
  • Instrument cluster.
  • Front electronic module (FEM).
