Instrument Cluster: Notes

CAUTION:
New instrument cluster is not programed to operate after installation. Improper instrument cluster operation and setting of Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) is possible. If installing new instrument cluster, it is necessary to upload module configuration information to scan tool prior to removal of existing instrument cluster. This information needs to be downloaded to new instrument cluster after installation.
Exposure to static electricity can damage instrument cluster internal components. Instrument cluster failure may result. Ensure instrument cluster is protected from static electrical charges.
Upper steering column cover may contact instrument cluster lens during removal. Damage to instrument cluster lens may result. Place protective cloth over upper steering column cover prior to removing instrument cluster.
