Test L: Left Side Crash Sensor Internal Fault (DTC B2444): Description

Left side crash sensor monitors severity of crash event. If crash is severe enough, sensor will signal RCM to deploy left side air bag module. RCM monitors left side crash sensor circuit loop for signal that is out of range. If RCM detects signal that is out of range, it will store Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) B2444 in memory and flash Code 48 on AIR BAG warning light.
