Test D: Driver Air Bag Circuit Shorted To Ground (DTC B1887): Description

Restraints Control Module (RCM) monitors driver-side air bag circuit for shorts to ground at connector C310A, terminals No. 3 (Red/Orange wire) and No. 4 (Black/Orange wire). If RCM detects a short to ground, it will store Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) B1887 in memory and flash Code 15 on AIR BAG warning light.
