Removal & Installation (3.9L)

Disconnect negative battery cable. Knock sensors are located in valley of engine, under intake manifold. Remove intake manifold. See INTAKE MANIFOLD under AIR INDUCTION SYSTEMS. Disconnect Knock Sensor (KS) connectors. Remove bolts and knock sensors. See Fig 1. To install, reverse removal procedure. Tighten all bolts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
