Removal & Installation

  1. Raise and support vehicle. Position tree jack under differential. Remove front differential mount bolt and lower differential to access canister vent solenoid as necessary. See Fig 1. Disconnect harness connector and hose. See Fig 2. Remove canister vent solenoid. Lubricate all "O" rings with MERPOL® "O" Ring Seal Lubricant or equivalent meeting Ford specification ESE-M99B144-B.
  2. To install, reverse removal procedure. Tighten nuts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS . Perform after repair procedure. See AFTER REPAIR PROCEDURE .
