Crankshaft Pulley: Removal

  1. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. For additional information, refer to JACKING & LIFTING .
  2. Remove the accessory drive belt. For additional information, refer to ACCESSORY DRIVE .
  3. Remove the front center splash shield.
  4. Using the special tool to hold the crankshaft pulley, remove and discard the bolt.

  5. CAUTION: The special tool must grab the inside of the damper or damage to the damper can occur.
  6. Using the special tool, remove the crankshaft pulley.
