Pinpoint Test M: DTC C1960 - DRIVER BRAKE APPLY CIRCUIT FAULT

CAUTION: Use the Flex Probe Kit for all test connections to prevent damage to the wiring terminals. Do not use standard multimeter probes.
  1. M1 CHECK FOR OTHER DTCs 
    • Key in ON position.
    • Enter the following diagnostic mode on the diagnostic tool: Clear DTCs.
    • Enter the following diagnostic mode on the diagnostic tool: Retrieve DTCs.
    • Is DTC C1960 retrieved 

    If no DTCs are retrieved, system is OK.

  2. M2 CHECK CIRCUIT 29S-CF2 (OG/BU) FOR A SHORT TO VOLTAGE 
    • Key in OFF position.
    • Disconnect: ABS Module C155.
    • Measure the voltage between the ABS module C155-44, circuit 29S-CF2 (OG/BU), harness side and ground.

    • Is the voltage greater than 0 volts? 
    • Yes  : REPAIR the circuit in question. CLEAR the DTC. REPEAT the self-test.
    • No  : INSTALL a new ABS module. REFER to ANTI-LOCK BRAKE SYSTEM (ABS) MODULE  in this article . REPEAT the self-test.
