Pinpoint Test D: C1784: ELECTRONIC PARKING BRAKE (EPB) MOTOR OUTPUT CIRCUIT SHORT TO GROUND

CAUTION: Use the Flex Probe Kit for all test connections to prevent damage to the wiring terminals. Do not use standard multimeter probes.
  1. D1 CHECK CIRCUIT 32-CG19 (WH/VT) FOR A SHORT TO GROUND 
    • Disconnect the battery. Refer to CHARGING SYSTEM - GENERAL INFORMATION .
    • Disconnect: EPB Module C4205a.
    • Measure the resistance between the EPB module C4205a-3 circuit 32-CG19 (WH/VT), harness side and ground.

    • Is the resistance greater than 10,000 ohms 
  2. D2 CHECK CIRCUIT 33-CG19 (YE/VT) FOR A SHORT TO GROUND 
    • Measure the resistance between the EPB module C4205a-2, circuit 33-CG19 (YE/VT), harness side and ground.

    • Is the resistance greater than 10,000 ohms
