Removal and Installation

CAUTION: Suspension fasteners are critical parts because they affect the performance of vital components and systems and their failure can result in major service expense. A new part with the same part number must be installed if installation is necessary. Do not use a new part of lesser quality or substitute design. Torque values must be used as specified during reassembly to make sure of correct retention of these parts.

NOTE: Do not apply grease or petroleum-based lubricants to the stabilizer bar bushings.

With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist.
Lower the front of the subframe approximately 37 mm (1.48 in).
- Using suitable jack stands, support the subframe. Remove the subframe forward bolts.

Remove the stabilizer bar brackets.
1. Remove the stabilizer bar bracket bolts.
  - To install, tighten to 55 Nm (41 lb-ft).
2. Remove the stabilizer bar brackets.

Remove the stabilizer bar bushing(s).

To install, reverse the removal procedure.
