Pinpoint Test O: One Turn Signal Lamp Is Always On: Testing

  1. O1 CHECK THE TURN LAMP VOLTAGE SUPPLY CIRCUIT FOR A SHORT TO VOLTAGE 
    • Key in OFF position.
    • Disconnect: SJB C2280a (Front Lamp).
    • Disconnect: SJB C2280e (Rear Lamp).
    • Key in ON position.
    • Does the turn lamp continue to illuminate? 
    • Yes  : For the LH front turn lamp, REPAIR circuit 1342 (GY/BK). TEST the system for normal operation.

      For the RH front turn lamp, REPAIR circuit 1341 (DB/OG). TEST the system for normal operation.

      For the LH rear turn lamp, REPAIR circuit 1363 (WH/RD). TEST the system for normal operation.

      For the RH rear turn lamp, REPAIR circuit 1365 (GY/LB). TEST the system for normal operation.

    • No  : GO to O2.
  2. O2 CHECK FOR CORRECT SJB OPERATION 
    • Disconnect all the SJB connectors.
    • Check for:
      • corrosion
      • pushed-out pins
    • Connect all the SJB connectors and make sure they seat correctly.
    • Operate the system and verify the concern is still present.
    • Is the concern still present? 
    • Yes  : INSTALL a new SJB. REFER to MULTIFUNCTION ELECTRONIC MODULES . TEST the system for normal operation.
    • No  : The system is operating correctly at this time. The concern may have been caused by a loose or corroded connector.
